Today we had sixty children from Ramsbury Primary School take part in the chalk walk. There are some great drawings and we were all very lucky to have seen five Red Kites flying closely overhead on a beautiful sunny morning.

Today we have had drawings from Salisbury College (Foundation Degree, Applied Arts, Students and Lecturer) & Bourton Art Group:

Introduction

The chalk walk is a designated drawing trial into the landscape around Rabley Drawing Centre on the chalk downs east of Marlborough. 50 slates can be found located on fence posts, gates and on the trail for you to draw on. You are invited to make chalk drawings of the countryside around you: Draw a landscape panorama of the Savenake Forest, Martinsell Hill and the Ridgeway, Red Kites might be flying over-head? Take a magnifying glass to look at bugs and beetles, see tractors ploughing fields and the changing colours of Autumn, find hazel cobbs and spindle berries……come and enjoy art and nature!

Each day the changing chalk drawings on the trail will be photographed and posted on this blog.
